Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Olaasoft MMC (“OlaaSoft”, “we”, “us”), 28,73 Rizvan Teymurov str., Baku AZ1002, Azerbaijan, for the GolVix: Football Quiz mobile app (“GolVix” or the “app”) and this website. By downloading, installing or using GolVix you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use GolVix.

1. The service

GolVix is a football quiz game: solo quizzes, crosswords, a daily challenge, a Football IQ test, multiplayer rooms (including Auction mode), friends, levels and achievements. It needs an internet connection. Content or features may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or when a limit is reached, and we may change, add or remove features, topics, modes and limits over time.

2. Who can use GolVix

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country sets a higher age of digital consent; below that age you may use GolVix only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms for you. GolVix is made for adults and is not directed at children.

3. Accounts and usernames

GolVix creates a guest account so you can try it without registering. Guests can answer a limited number of questions; registering (email and password, Google or Apple) keeps your guest history and is needed for rooms, friends and the ranking. You must give accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure and are responsible for activity on your account. One person may not use several accounts to get extra free periods or rewards or to manipulate rankings or match results. You can delete your account in the app at any time (how).

Your @username, nickname and avatar must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, misleading, infringe anyone’s rights or impersonate another person, club or brand. We may reset or remove names and avatars that break this rule.

4. Free plan and limits

GolVix is free to download. The free plan shows ads and limits how many new questions you can play each day and how many Why? explanations you can open; some topics and features (for example crosswords in the Quiz tab after your first days) need Premium. The limits can differ by country and platform and are shown in the app. We may offer new players a free period; it is granted by our server, once per device and once per email address, is not a store free trial, and nothing is charged when it ends.

5. Premium, day pass and hint credits

Premium removes ads and the daily question limit, unlocks all topics and gives more Why? explanations.

  • Subscriptions (the periods offered in the app, for example weekly, monthly or yearly) renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. There is no free trial on the store subscription unless the store clearly shows one before you confirm.
  • Day pass: 24 hours of Premium for a one-time payment. It does not renew; buying it again adds 24 hours.
  • Hint credits: consumable credits used for hints. Credits are a licence to use a feature in the app, have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged and are not refundable except where the law or the store requires. Some credits are given for free (for example daily or for watching a rewarded video).
  • Prices are shown in the app and by the store before you confirm and may vary by country and currency and include taxes. Payment is charged to your Apple ID (or Google Play account once GolVix is on Android).
  • Cancel or manage subscriptions in your store account (iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Restore: use “Restore purchases” in the app with the same store account.
  • Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google under their policies; we cannot issue them ourselves. A refunded purchase is removed from your account.
  • If we change a subscription price, the store will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
  • If you live in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Because Premium, the day pass and credits are supplied immediately, by buying you request immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal to the extent the law allows; refund requests go through the store.

6. Ads

Without Premium or a day pass, GolVix shows ads from Google AdMob and its partners after the applicable consent step, including full-screen ads (for example at the end of a game) and optional rewarded videos. We do not control which ad a provider selects and are not responsible for products advertised by third parties. See the Privacy Policy for your ad privacy choices.

7. Rooms, bots and fair play

  • Bots. To keep games available, some public rooms are filled by computer-controlled players, and a bot may take a free seat in your public room if nobody joins within a short time. You can also choose to play a bot. Bots answer with a set accuracy and can make mistakes; results against bots count like other results unless the app says otherwise.
  • Answer checking. In Auction mode, typed names are checked against our answer lists, with spelling tolerance and, for names we do not know, an automated (AI) check. These decisions are final for the match; if you think a result was wrong, tell us and we will review the answer list.
  • Fair play. Do not use other people, search engines, AI tools or scripts to answer in matches against other players, do not deliberately lose or collude to move points between accounts, and do not abuse invites or friend requests. We may void results, reset points or achievements, or limit features for accounts that do.

8. Quiz content

Questions, answers and explanations are written and reviewed by us and use settled facts up to the end of the 2024-25 season. We work hard to keep them correct, but we do not guarantee that every question, answer or explanation is complete or error-free. Football facts can be counted differently by different sources (for example competition records). If you find a mistake, use the Report button on the question or email choicy.appstore@gmail.com.

Names of clubs, players, competitions and other third parties are used only to identify them in trivia questions. GolVix is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any club, league, federation, competition organiser or player.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • bypass or try to bypass limits, payments, ads, the free-period rules or rewards, including by tampering with device signals;
  • use bots, scripts or modified clients, send automated requests outside the app, or interfere with, overload or probe the service or its security;
  • access other players’ data or accounts, or harass, spam or threaten other players;
  • copy, scrape, extract, sell or republish the question bank, answer lists or explanations;
  • submit reports or messages that are abusive, unlawful or contain other people’s personal data;
  • use GolVix in breach of any law or of these Terms.

We may hide names, void results, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules, acting proportionately and, where reasonable, after notice.

10. Your content

Your @username, nickname, avatar photo, reports and messages remain yours. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display (for names and preset avatars, to other players) and use them to run and improve GolVix for as long as needed for those purposes. You confirm you have the right to submit them.

11. Intellectual property

GolVix, its name, logo, design, software, questions, explanations, answer lists, artwork and other content are owned by Olaasoft MMC or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and, on iOS, the Apple Media Services Usage Rules. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse-engineer the app or its content except where the law expressly allows.

12. Third-party services

GolVix relies on services from Apple, Google (Firebase, AdMob), Adapty and others listed in the Privacy Policy. Their own terms apply to your use of them, for example the App Store terms to purchases. We are not responsible for third-party websites or ads you open from GolVix.

13. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded GolVix from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple EULA”) applies. These Terms supplement the Apple EULA; if they conflict, the Apple EULA prevails for iOS users to the extent of the conflict. You and we acknowledge that:

  • these Terms are between you and Olaasoft MMC only, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content;
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
  • if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
  • we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims by you or third parties relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection or privacy claims;
  • we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any claim that the app infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights;
  • you confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
  • you must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app;
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Disclaimers

GolVix is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about accuracy of content, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under the law of your country.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to GolVix is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, wilful misconduct or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Suspension and termination

You can stop using GolVix and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue GolVix; when we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice where possible. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law) survive termination.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when GolVix or the law changes. The new version is published on this page with a new date. For material changes we will tell you in the app or by other reasonable means before they take effect. If you keep using GolVix after that, the new Terms apply; if you do not agree, stop using GolVix and cancel any subscription.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the courts of Baku have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules and the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence that you have under the law of the country where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem informally.

19. General

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and, for iOS users, the Apple EULA are the entire agreement between you and us about GolVix. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor of the business without reducing your rights. The English version of these Terms prevails over any translation.
